    • Next generation 2023 Audi RS6 Estate expected to be 600+ hp EV - RS6 e-tron

Audi plans to go electric only in roughly five years. Before then though we will start getting Audi RS performance EV's an Audi intends to go fully electric with the next generation Audi RS6 wagon or estate model as early as 2023.

Now, 2023 may be optimistic but things are pointing to a fully electric RS6:

The two are likely to be more closely matched in terms of design than the current A6 and RS6, too, given the subtle differences between standard and hot versions of current Audi EVs, so expect a slight toning down of the RS6’s flared arches, outlandish wheels and prominent rear spoiler.

The regular A6 E-tron will be the second Audi model to use the premium-focused PPE architecture for EVs that Audi is co-developing with Porsche (following the Q6 E-tron SUV, a sister model to Porsche’s Macan EV) and that will offer the flexibility of various drivetrain layouts and power outputs.
Autocar seems to be taking a bit of liberty in stating an RS6 E-tron will follow the A6 E-tron and possibly launch the same year. They really don't know. They are just guessing.

Nothing is confirmed at this point but an electric RS6 is inevitable.
