    • Lightning killer? Chevrolet debuts 2024 Silverado RST EV with 664 hp, 400 mile range, and 10,000 pound towing capacity

Wow. Talk about a response to the Ford F-150 Lightning. Seemingly out of nowhere Chevrolet volleyed a major shot at their competition. Introducing the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV truck.

You may notice some similarities to the Hummer EV Truck as this does use a narrower version of that platform. However, there are two motors and not three.

Still, the RST model (which AddictEV.com is most interested in) offers impressive specs.

How does 664 horsepower, a 400 mile range, and 10,000 pound towing capacity sound?

Not to mention, the styling is better than the standard Silverado.

The RST is not cheap at $105,000. However, the base WT is $39,900 so quite the range in price there.

Pictured are 24-inch wheels on the RST model which are standard.

Whereas the Hummer EV has WTF (Watts-To-Freedom) the Silverado EV launch control is called WOW (Wide-Open-Watts) because someone at GM apparently thinks they are funny. Regardless, 0-60 is said to take 4.5 seconds.

Who knew the EV truck scene would heat up this fast?

Love the interior and the projected numbers, but I can’t get over the outside. The thing looks like an avalanche with a sema body kit on it. Maybe it will look better in person?

Huh. I think it looks way better than the standard Silverado.
