        Bittersweet. The Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo is arguably the best looking wagon on the market and definitely the best looking EV wagon. We all know how well the Taycan sedan is selling and performing so the US getting the Sport Turismo option is great.


        The bad part is you will not be able to buy the Taycan Sport Turismo Turbo models. You will only have the option of the Sport Turismo GTS.

        Better than nothing? Yes. But, with how well the Taycan sells in all forms this is a puzzling decision and of course likely fueled by the outmoded idea that Americans hate wagons.

        The decision is even more perplexing when you factor in you can buy the Taycan Turbo S in Cross Turismo trim.

        Place the blame where you will but if you want a Taycan Sport Turismo in the USA the GTS it has to be.

          Maybe will come soon? Perhaps awaiting the EPA certification? Did Porsche issue a press release stating no USA Sport Turismo for Turbo and Turbo S models?

          I see Zac Palmer from Autoblog just released similar story to this yesterday. He too did not reveal a source for this story and does not have a confirmation that this is indeed fact.

          His story reads as speculation based on the fact the Sport Turismo models were released to the configurator and a subsequent news dump of photos.

          Here is the press release dated 1/19/2022 from Porsche discussing the Sport Turismo https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2022...ere-27075.html

          I read through it and there is no mention the model will not be coming to the USA.

          I can't find a Porsche statement only that the GTS is the only model listed on the US website.

          You have a point here.

          I think you're right and the Autoblog report is wrong:

          As the first member of the Taycan Sport Turismo family, the GTS will be launched at the end of February 2022, with further models following just three weeks later in mid-March.

          Car and Driver story does have a quote that there will be no further ST models for the USA but does not name the "Porsche Spokesperson".

          My sales rep confirmed to me that they will be getting the additional models. Official Porsche announcement is coming.
